Online cancellation: the end of treacherous processes? An interview with Alan Walter in Solutions Numériques & Cybersécurité

From June 19, 2026, a regulatory shift will be imposed on e-commerce businesses: any company offering online contracts will have to integrate a feature allowing customers to easily exercise their right of withdrawal. This development is part of a broader European movement to combat manipulative interfaces.

In an interview with Solutions Numériques & Cybersécurité, our partner Alan Walter explains the scope of this adjustment provided for in the provisions of the Commercial Code.

And this notably implies that, after receiving a cancellation notice, the company must send an acknowledgement of receipt to the person who sent it,” he explains.
