Alan Walter

Admitted to the Paris Bar in March 2006, after eighteen months’ experience as a lawyer with an open source software publisher, Alan worked for leading law firms specializing in technology law (Alain Bensoussan Avocats, Kahn & Associés and DLA Piper LLP). He co-founded Walter Billet Avocats at the beginning of 2015.
Alan is in charge of the IT/IP department, which deals in particular with issues relating to IT, regulation of online activities, innovative technologies, protection of personal data, intellectual property, public technology law and commercial law.
His activity is divided, into both advisory and litigation, between advising major clients on large-scale projects and accompanying start-ups on technology issues.
Alan also lectures on IT Contract Law in the Masters 2 program (digital technology law and information society) at the University of Paris Nanterre. He is a regular speaker at Télécom ParisTech, particularly on subjects related to Big Data.
He assists young entrepreneurs in the course of several start-up studios and acceleration programs, including Numa and Station F.
