Advised by Walter Billet Avocats, Racine and Librato on legal aspects, Ipsilon, one of the French leaders in industrial property, welcomes Waterland Private Equity, a pan-European investment fund with 9 billion euros under management, to its capital.
Ipsilon offers a wide portfolio of services covering all areas of industrial and intellectual property, specializing in the filing, monitoring, maintenance and defense of its clients’ industrial property rights, in particular patents, trademarks, models , domain names and copyrights. In addition, Ipsilon supports its customers (large companies, SMEs, start-ups, public service players, etc.) in monitoring and implementing their IP strategy.
Founded in 2001 by Valérie Feray, in Paris, Ipsilon now has more than 100 employees in France and abroad. From the outset, the group experienced rapid growth, both externally, based on the merger with prestigious players, and organically, through the implementation of an ambitious vertical diversification strategy. It now offers services covering the entire industrial property value chain, including litigation: real added value for its clients, thus benefiting from an end-to-end integrated service offer.
The company is present in France with five offices (Paris, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Nantes and Tours), but also in Benelux and Germany, and is today the only French player in the sector to have an integrated team of experts in the USA.
“The entry into the capital of Waterland is a fantastic opportunity which will enable the Ipsilon Group to pursue its development and place itself at the forefront of European industrial property firms, while continuing to offer its clients high quality and by offering them more and more services”, says Valérie Feray, President of Ipsilon.
“I am delighted with this partnership and the confidence that Valérie Feray places in us to support Ipsilon in its development. Our European experience will enable Ipsilon to strengthen its leadership and its international presence”, adds Louis Huetz, President of Waterland Private Equity in France.
“We are delighted to start this ambitious partnership with Valérie Feray and the Ipsilon teams. We are convinced that our expertise in consulting and regulated activities will enable Ipsilon to accelerate its growth and strengthen support for its clients throughout their value chain“, explains Pierre Naftalski, Director investment at Waterland Private Equity.
