Hyperrealistic deepfakes, non-consensual pornographic images, and child pornography: the recent abuses linked to the use of Grok, Elon Musk’s AI, raise the question of legal responsibility behind these reprehensible acts.
This must be analyzed on a case-by-case basis, due to the complex interplay of stakeholders (the AI model developer, the platform that integrates it, the company that uses it, and the end user) and the legal frameworks governing these issues.
